A small-group adventure into the Livno highlands, where over 700 free-roaming horses still rule the land.
Reserve your rideDiscoverOn the Kruzi plateau, at the foot of Mount Cincar at around 1,200 metres above sea level, over 700 wild horses roam freely across 150 km² of untouched nature, fresh mountain air, and endless pastures. They are descendants of domestic farm horses that were released into the wild in the 1970s when mechanisation replaced them in agriculture. Left to fend for themselves, they survived — and thrived.
Many compare the Livno region to Mongolia and Iceland, as it is one of the only places in the world with this many wild horses living together in one area. Nowhere else in Europe can you get this close to truly free-roaming herds in scenery this raw and unspoiled. Our tours take you deep into the landscape surrounding Livno — through karst fields, mountain trails, and open plateaus — until you find yourself face to face with one of nature's most breathtaking sights.
